Growing up in a small town in eastern North Carolina, Amanda discovered her passion for traveling at an early age when she applied and was accepted to study abroad in Australia during her junior year of high school. Following graduation Amanda attended the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina where she earned a B.S. in International Business with a Spanish minor. Again, following her desire to travel following college graduation, Amanda accepted an ESL teaching position in Cusco, Peru where she taught children and adults English.
After returning to the United States from South America, Amanda and her husband, Jay, packed up and moved to Asheville. Once in Asheville, Amanda and her passion for interior design became a eality when she accepted a position with Ambiance Interiors as project manager and junior designer for clients throughout western North Carolina. She had the pleasure of working with many acclaimed architects and home builders. Amanda eventually took her love of design and customer service and ventured into the event planning and design industry. Here she helped clients realize the vision of their wedding day. While managing all aspects of the wedding from helping decide on dresses down to creating and designing floral arrangements, Amanda sharpened her ability to listen and produce what her clients were anticipating, for their Big Day. Amanda is now taking her two passions of interior design and helping clients achieve personal milestones, by helping them find the right home, here in WNC.
Amanda is a board member of the Asheville Affiliates, annually helping four Asheville-area non-profit organizations host fundraising events. In her free time, Amanda enjoys the outdoors with her husband Jay and their two dogs- Sadie Mae and Dude; hiking, rafting and camping, here in beautiful Western North Carolina.
