"The Right Track"

Being the middle child of two brothers kind of creates your own destiny – that is if you want to have someone to play with at home! A tomboy at heart, I loved playing cars in the dirt with my brothers, building snow tunnels, turning our backyard into a bike track with jumps and hopping on a skateboard. The Valterra was “it” at the time – any Back to the Future fans?

The first several years of my life took place in beautiful upstate New York. This is where I believe I learned to love the simple things in life – skipping rocks across the shimmering water, sun beating down, wind across my face and taking in the breath of life.
My family later settled on residency in the Triad in 1983, where I spent the next 13 years in Alamance County – go Patriots! Later the mountains of NC drew me to Boone where I became a Mountaineer, completing Double Majors in Public Relations and Journalism; Minoring in Business at Appalachian State University. Since 2004, the real estate ‘way-of-life’ has been in my blood.

Not much has changed. I still love the dirt beneath my feet as I step out to the garden or on the way to paddle on some water. And getting messy, but now in the kitchen instead of the back yard, prepping a meal for a loud family gathering.

Being a Realtor isn’t just a career, it truly echoes most thoughts I have and decisions I make, both personally and professionally. It is a life experience I am honored to embark upon with my clients and customers- through luxury homes sales and purchases; strategic marketing and sales of new construction developments; investment purchases, sales and exchanges and so much more.

Sometimes things in real estate can get a little ‘loud’ if you know what I mean – where it can be challenging to find the gentle voice of reason during the sale or purchase of a home. Addressing pre-market home enhancements, the process to contract, repair negotiations and beyond closing day can all resemble the various sounds of a locomotive.
