City of Four Seasons
Hendersonville is a place to explore new experiences. Hike
through the DuPont State Recreational Forest where many scenes from the movies,
The Hunger Games and The Last of the Mohicans were filmed. Tour the Sierra Nevada
Brewery. Visit Historic Downtown Hendersonville, a destination that was entered
into the National Register of Historic Places in March of 1988.
Downtown boasts a mix of specialty shops, art galleries,
museums and a variety of restaurants all while offering free outdoor Wi-Fi. The
distinctive, serpentine Main Sreet bustles with the activity of a place where people
live, work and play. It serves as home to seasonal festivals and special
activities throughout the year including the North Carolina Apple Festival which
culminates in the Apple Parade and draws up to 50,000 spectators each year.
Outside the Main Street corridor, you’ll find historic
neighborhoods including the 5th Avenue neighborhood on the city's west side and
the Druid Hills neighborhood north of downtown.
Easily accessible from I-26, Historic Hendersonville is
located in the Western North Carolina Mountains between the Blue Ridge
Mountains and the Great Smokies, 22 miles south of Asheville, and 15 miles
north of the North-South Carolina border.
